These are the pastors or elders of Providence Reformed Baptist Church. We believe in a plurality of elders in which all elders are equal in stature before God and the congregation. Below is a brief biography of each of our elders.

Pastor David Charles

God cares more about us being holy than getting old.

Pastor David Charles and his wife Jeni, have been married for 28 years. Their five children, ages 18-25 all worship at PRBC.

David spends most of his free time in his study reading dusty old books. Or, if the night is clear he enjoys star gazing. He has formal education in law enforcement and is a graduate of Bigalow ministerial school. He is presently a student of Reformed Baptist School of theology (soon to be Reformed Baptist Seminary)

Having a profound confidence in the risen Christ to make Himself known through the preaching of the Scriptures, David is committed to expounding books of the Bible in the local Church.

Pastor Bernie Gokey

The people at PRBC are the most caring and giving people I have ever known. I believe they exemplify God’s instruction to us to love your neighbor as yourself.

After many years of living the single life, Bernie was married more than 5 years ago. Since that time, The Lord has given he and his wife, Amy, 1 daughter (Lydia) who is now nearly 4 years old. The Gokey’s have also recently been blessed with Triplets! Bernie was saved by the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ more than 20 years ago and was directed to study the scriptures at a Christian university. After several years absence from school, Bernie returned to the classroom and anticipates completing his undergraduate work in early 2006.

He has enjoyed the honor of serving God’s people in the capacity of pastor for a short period of time now, and prays that The Lord will grant him the continued privilege of serving until God takes him home. He enjoys prayer, personal Bible study, and teaching/preaching God’s Word.
